Visa's CEDP: A Critical Budget Update for Dental Suppliers

Visa’s new Commercial Enhanced Data Program (CEDP) represents a significant financial shift for dental suppliers and manufacturers who process B2B credit card transactions. Replacing the previous Level 2 and Level 3 interchange discount structures, the new program introduces stricter, AI-audited data requirements and a 0.05% participation fee on every commercial transaction. If suppliers fail to upgrade their payment infrastructure to meet these rigorous standards by 2026, they risk losing substantial processing discounts and facing retroactive clawbacks, potentially shrinking profit margins in an industry already facing tight fiscal pressures.
